BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY SAN JACINTO

First known as “PULONG PULIAO” and created in 1906, it was later renamed San Francisco in honor of one of its prominent resident Don Francisco Bacani.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROFILE OF SAN JACINTO

Barangay San Jacinto, despite being rural has marked a total population in 2014 reaching up to 3,090 or 686 households. With a total land area of 321.99 hectares, Barangay San Jacinto maintains its productivity in agricultural and farming ventures with around 223 engaged with the work.
Farming and agricultural activities are further subdivided into 223 farmers engaged with palay production, 93 livestock producers and others are involved into family businesses.
General source of income comes from farming activities (316 household heads), some 121 households depending on their contractual wages and 41 regular employees depending on their reasonable salaries.
