Barangay Palacpalac
BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY PALACPALAC
Name after the three growing in abundance in said place, the sap of which was used like an oil to polish the houses of the residents, Barangay Palacpalac was created in 1850, with don Luis Ramones and Antonio Salvador as its founders. The original settlers came from Dingras, Ilocos Norte Present Population is 1,152.
Palacpalac is the Barangay at the southernmost tip of Victoria, with its immediate neighboring town, Lapaz, Tarlac. Popularly known for its “Century-old” acacia tree and during “Lenten” season, Palacpalac maintains its stature as one of the active contributors in terms of agricultural development.
There are at least 231 household heads engaged in farming or agricultural activities (119 HH heads in crop production, mainly palay; 6 HH heads in livestock production; and 46 HH heads in agricultural services).

Other than farming and agricultural activities, some households depend on their contractual wages (31 HH heads) and regular salaries (25 HH heads) as main source of income. Some 16 household heads are employed into a regular job, while 214 are self-employed and only 9 consider themselves as unemployed.
