Barangay Mangolago
BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY MANGOLAGO
Created in 1896 at the instance of Dons Silvestre Alonzo, Placido de Leon Eustaquio Tome, the name of “MANGOLAGO”. Is composed of the word “MANG” a native word preceding the name of a person as a show of respect and “LAGO” the nickname of one of the original settler in said Barangay.
Barangay Mangolago recorded a total population of 1,819 in 2008 with a total land area of 720.24 hectares. There are at least 460 households in the Barangay that generally engage with farming and agricultural activities.
